GF Read Only Perk

Review

How It Works

This is a very simple plugin that does one thing and does it well. If you need to make a field on your form read only, you can do so with the check of one box.

Once you install the Read Only Perk, you will see a new tab in the field edit box, labeled “Perk.” In this box will be the Read-only option with a helpful tip to explain what checking the box will do to the field.

In this GIF, the Sunny Day Discount field is set to Read Only. The Quantity box in the Widgets field is editable, but when trying to edit the quantity that is copied into the Sunny Day Discount box, nothing happens.

More Information

For a real world scenario of how this is used, read my post about applying a quantity-based discount.

  • If you are comfortable working with JavaScript, Gravity Forms shares a way to achieve a read-only field in this post.
